CITIES OF PINELLAS COUNTY CLEARWATER: Providing a contrasting assortment of Southern style ranch homes and casual beachfront dwellings intersperse with condominiums. Clearwater is part of an active growing arts and cultural centers in the state offering art galleries, art centers, as well as fair and festivals. Clearwater is the county seat for Pinellas County. The Pinellas Trail stretches almost the entire length of the county. It is a 47 mile county park made on the old railroad beds that connects most of the cities together. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Safety Harbor: Main street has recently been refurbished to regain the splendor of hometown USA. Home of the famous Safety Harbor Spa known throughout the world for the Espiritu Santo Springs. The spa is is located on 34 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens with pools, tennis courts and golf driving range. The enchanting Philippe Park is just the place for a picnic, fishing, boating and resting. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Dunedin: This is one of Florida's oldest coastal towns. Dunedin is Scottish meaning "castle on the rock." The city and most of its mainland surround the shores of St. Joseph's Sound and its many inlets. Every April the city hosts traditional Highland games and festival with games, bagpipes and drum competitions and Scottish dancing. Dunedin Yacht Club Regattas sail out on the waters. There is swimming on the south beach, shelling, windsurfing, fishing, and just plain relaxing. There are two miles of white sandy beaches with naturally wooded interior. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Palm Harbor: The town has an unique mixture of quaint, friendly, small town atmosphere and luxurious planned estates. Palm Harbor rises gently from the gulf of Mexico to an average elevation of 25 feet with some land as high as 80 feet above sea level. There are parks with lakes, fishing, boating and skiing. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Tarpon Springs: This quaint community with delightful residences built on bayous, waterways and Lake Tarpon once was a sleepy fishing. The northern most Suncoast municipality. It provides a charming mix of new subdivisions and old mansions. Famous for its Greek ancestry and Sponge fishing capital of North America. Tarpon has 155+ acres of parks with nature trails, canoe trails winding along the tree-shaded shores, playgrounds, boating and fishing. Oldsmar: This "Top of the Bay" town is located on the northeast point of scenic Tampa bay. Although small in population it can boost an Olympic-sized ice skating rink which opened in 1992 and home of Tampa Bay Downs, the only Thoroughbred horse track on Florida's west coast. Oldsmar is strategically located near Tampa and is one of the fastest growing cities in the area. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Largo: This is a coastal community on the peninsula with the highest elevation above sea level of any incorporated area in the county. There are over 75 shops in the Largo Mall and many fine restaurants in the area. Largo area covers about 14 square miles and has enjoyed steady growth. There is golf, tennis, swimming, exercise trails, fishing and boating. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Belleair: Belleair is one of the most affluent residential areas on the waterfront. The Belleview Resort Hotel with surrounding green lawns, flower gardens and century old trees, is the largest occupied wooden structure in the world. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Pinellas Park: Pinellas Park is located in the center of Pinellas county. It's location makes for easy access to all cities or beaches in the area. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ St. Petersburg: Strategically located on Florida's Gulf Coast, St. Petersburg, the state's fourth largest city. St. Petersburg is roughly 58 square miles and surrounded by water on three sides, boasts 234 miles of exquisite shoreline. With an average temperature of 73.7 degrees and 361 days of sunshine a year, it’s easy to see why St. Petersburg has the nickname of the “Sunshine City.” ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Indian Rocks Beach: is the largest of the Gulf Beach Communities. Indian Shores is home of the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary, which treats 6,500 injured and abandoned birds. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Redington Shores: is a large public beach with plenty of park. The Redington Long Pier extends more than 1,000 feet in the Gulf for fishing and strolling. North Redington Beach has luxurious hotels and shops lining he beach. Redington Beach is a quaint residential community with a private beach area. Maderia Beach is the fishing capital of Pinellas Suncoast. More than two miles of beach with sand dunes. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦
